Rachel Leviss Recalls Having a Photo of Ariana Madix in Her 'Shame Backpack' During Her 2 Month Stay in Rehab

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss offers insight into her time in rehab.

In the latest episode of her podcast, Rachel goes rogue, reality star, 29, opened up about how she recovered in treatment after “Scandal”. She said she used one activity to resolve a conflict she had with former colleague Ariana Madix.

“One of my individualized assignments was the embarrassing backpack,” she explained. “Where I was actually instructed to write down every wicked thing I could think of that was thrown my way. All the insults, all the name-calling, all the derogatory comments I could think of.”

She said the rehab facility made a book out of every piece of paper Leviss wrote on, which she then carried around with her.

“It was very, very difficult,” she said. “I was assigned to carry that backpack everywhere I went that week.”

While she admitted that “my back hurt,” she said she began to understand why it helped her on her healing journey.

“When I was working on this assignment with my therapist, I had to read all the comments, and then my therapist asked me if I wanted to download them and carry them with me for the rest of my life,” she said. . “I said, ‘No, I don’t know.’ And I was instructed to tear up all the pieces of paper.”

the same week, Vanderpump Rules alum revealed that a fellow resident at the center found a newspaper with a headline about Levissa’s affair with Madixa’s boyfriend of nine years, Tom Sandoval. She said the picture on the front shows two women.

“I actually had this in my backpack of shame and it’s so wild it literally went into The Meadows [rehab facility],” she said. “It was a bit surreal that this came into my possession that week of my assignment.”

She continued: “It taught me not to take on all the hate, all the shame that was poured on me because life is so much harder when you take that on.”

A year after Scandal, Leviss moved on with businessman Matthew Dunn.

“It’s a little too early to jump on any label,” publicist Rachel Leviss told PEOPLE in April. “They met a little over a month ago and are friends who are just getting to know each other. They met and are friends.”

Leviss also shared a clip on social media of herself riding an ATV alongside Dunn, who owns Dune Investment Group in Spokane, Wash., according to his LinkedIn.

“More of this please 🫶🏼🌵✨,” she captioned the video.
