Rachel Lindsay Is in Good Spirits as She Makes First Public Appearance After Finalizing Divorce from Bryan Abasolo

Rachel Lindsay is living it up after her divorce from Bryan Abasolo.

On Saturday, January 18, Lindsay, 39, made her first public appearance since her divorce on January 7 while attending ESPN’s 11th annual Allstate pregame party in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Bachelor The alum was all smiles and in good spirits as she posed for photos at the event in a chic all-black outfit and brown suede jacket.

Lindsay also attended Monday night’s game between Notre Dame and Ohio State — the latter won 34-23 — with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers. She posted a photo from the pitch at the Mercedez-Benz Stadium on her Instagram Stories after the game, calling the weekend “another successful…year” with the charity.

Although she appeared to be in good spirits over the weekend, the outing came just days after Lindsay broke her silence on her split from Abasolo, 44, and admitted there were “so many things” she wanted to “deal with” after “letting a lot of people story” during the past year.

“There are certain things that have been said to play into the stereotype of me as a career woman that have been done on purpose to try to win over the media,” she said on the Jan. 10 episode of her podcast, Higher education. “And it was really hard to see people running with that story.”

Lindsay called out her ex for “saying things that specifically feed into the stereotype of me as an angry black woman,” while claiming that what she “put out” “couldn’t be more false” [her] career instead of marriage” or “over the desire to have children”, as the chiropractor claimed.

The divorce “changed my whole perspective on everything,” she continued. – I don’t even know if I would get married again, I can’t even fathom it.

Rachel Lindsay Says Bryan Abasolo’s Divorce Left Her ‘Financially’ Unable To Do What She ‘Wanted To Do,’ She Won’t Skip Prenup Again

During the year-long divorce proceedings, the couple — who met and got engaged in season 13 Bachelor in 2017 — discussed their finances, with Abasolo constantly seeking spousal support from Lindsay and repeatedly disagreeing over how the conversation about Abasolo’s divorce filing went down.

The filings also shed new light on the nature of their four-year marriage. The chiropractor claimed that his wife “never showed any interest” in his career, that she wanted to “get him out of the way” and “not to be involved in ‘Hollywood'” and that he “put up with her verbal manipulation for years.”

“The reality is that I was the one stuck at home and stuck at work with a woman who never wanted to be around me,” he claimed.

Lindsay, for her part, claimed that she and Abasolo “very rarely went out together” during their marriage, because “Bryan often worked late into the night and I traveled a lot for work.”

“In fact, we rarely saw each other or even lived together during our brief marriage,” she said in a June filing.
