Rahul Subramanian started his career with Convonix Inc., Mumbai in July 2007 as Sales Manager. As Sales Manager, Rahul is primarily responsible for B2B end-to-end sales and after-sales customer service in the US and UK. He is also responsible for internet marketing services such as SEO, SEM, SMO and shopping cart development. He worked there for about a year and a half and then resigned. The same year, YouTube announced OML’s Comedy Hunt, an online competition for emerging comedy creators, along with All India Bakchod Kanan Gill and Biswa Kalyan Rath. Based on a weekly competition format, contestants must create sketches based on specific themes such as news comedy and branded content, with weekly elimination rounds taking place. The final of the competition was held at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai and out of the four finalists, Rahul and Varun’s RCB won. Speaking about winning the match, Rahul said in an interview:

After a long day at work I was mostly relieved that I didn’t have to write sketches late at night and it was fun that we had just won this award. We just had a lot of fun. “

Soon after winning the competition, Rahul received an invitation to work with artist management company Only Much Louder. He accepted the job and decided to give up his corporate job and pursue comedy as a full-time career option. While on Only Much Louder, Rahul Subramanian started working on YouTube’s daily comedy show The Laughter Game. He subsequently won several stand-up comedy competitions held by Virgin Pants and Canvas Laugh Club. Kal Main Udega is a one-hour solo, Rahul’s much loved and appreciated piece by Crowd, in which he engages in spontaneous and improvisational interactions with audiences in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
