Rajiv got 2,204 votes in the election and Akhilesh Yadav got 6,21,578 votes. He is contesting the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections from Azamgarh constituency as an independent candidate. He polled only 604 votes against Samajwadi Party candidate Durga Prasad Yadav, who polled 100,813 votes.

Facts/Trivia
- In 2002, he founded a school called Ratna Public School in Rahul Nagar, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. He began working there as a free teacher for poor children. In 2015, one of his students was caught using abusive language at an event. Rajiv was later arrested by the police and jailed for teaching students abusive language. Soon after his release from prison, his wife took over the management of the school in Rajiv’s place. And Rajeev started the YouTube channel ULLU TV.
