Rajesh Jais is an Indian theater artist and television and film actor who has appeared in many Hindi films and television series. He is famous for his role as Nanu in the Hindi television series “Shanti” (1994).

Rajesh Jais was born on Saturday, September 6, 1969 in Ranchi, Jharkhand (age 53; as of 2022). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He attended a government school in Kantatoli, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Later, he studied at Shradhanand Seva Ashram Secondary School and Gauri Dutt Mandelia High School in Ranchi, Jharkhand. He did his graduation from Marwari College, Ranchi. He was an NCC Air Cadet and Boy Scout in college.
In 1988, he pursued a postgraduate course in English Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC, JNU, New Delhi). From 1998 to 1991, he pursued a postgraduate diploma course in acting at the National School of Drama, New Delhi. In 1992, he passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was awarded a PhD and Lectureship Scholarship. He also qualified asstt. - While in school, he joined NCC. While studying at the university, he received training. 02 Bihar Air Force Squadron NCC, Ranchi for Air Force Internship Course. He also attended several other courses such as Vayu Sainik Course, Gliding, Model Aviation, Firearms Shooting, 22 Rifle, 303 Rifle, Light Machine Gun (LMG), 12 Bore Double Barrel Gun, .38 Revolver and Camping.
- In 1981, he commanded the “guard of honor” of then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the Beijing Institute of Technology in Meshra, Ranchi. In the same year, he received the Presidential Scout Medal from the then President of India Morarji Desai.
- He received training in Indian classical music under his mentor Vinod Pathak.
- Before becoming an actor, he managed accounts in a tailor shop and attended cram school at the same time.
