- In an interview, Madhavan talked about his college days and revealed that his father wanted him to pursue an MBA; however, he failed to pass the final round of admissions, the interview, because he was not fluent in English.
- Rajesh Madhavan has appeared in several theater productions, including the dark comedy drama A Very Normal Family (February 2019). He plays the role of ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’ in the show. Directed by Roshan Mathew, the play premiered at the Nishagandhi Auditorium as part of the International Literary Festival in Trivandrum, Kerala.

- Madhavan never dreamed of working in films. He spoke about this in interviews, mentioning that his theatrical roots always drew him towards artistic pursuits. Therefore, this passion for art was likely the driving force that ultimately led him into the world of film.
- Rajesh had acted in a short film directed by his friend Ravi Kumar. Madhavan talked about this in an interview and mentioned that actor Unnimaya Prasad, wife of Indian screenwriter Syam Pushkaran, served as the assistant director of the short film. He added that Pushkaran watched the short film and when he was working on the film Rani Padmini as a co-writer, he asked Rajesh if he was interested in acting. Later, Syam Pushkaran and his team members decided to cast him in the 2015 Malayalam film “Rani Padmini”.
- Madhavan answered questions about his appearance in an interview. He admits that some may question his suitability as an actor because of his thin frame; however, he insists that he does not have any insecurities about his body. Madhavan added that he doesn’t see his size as an obstacle in his path to success.

In an interview, he clarified that the intensity of his gaze was not a deliberate act to attract attention.
