Rajkumar Kohli is an Indian filmmaker who has directed and produced many Hindi and Punjabi films. He is known for working on multi-actor projects such as Nagin, Raaj Tilak and Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani. He died in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest in November 2023.

Rajkumar Kohli was born in Lahore, Punjab, British India (now part of Pakistan). According to one source, he was born on Sunday, September 14, 1930 (age 93; at time of death), and according to another source, he was born on Friday, September 14, 1928 (at age 95; at time of death). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He moved to India during the partition of India in 1947 and began working in films in the Punjabi film industry at a young age. He later pursued a career as a film producer in Bollywood.

He had a son named Rajnish Kohli (also known as Gogi Kohli), who was paralyzed in an accident at the age of 14 and died in April 2021 at the age of 44. His younger son Armaan Kohli is a Bollywood actor who also appeared in the seventh season of “Bigg Boss” in 2013.

He later directed many Hindi films such as Nagin in 1976, Jaani Dushman in 1979, Badle Ki Aag in 1982, Naukar Biwi Ka in 1983, Raaj Tilak in 1984 and Pati Patni Aur Tawaif in 1990.

He often produces multi-starrer films with Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy and Anita Raj.

In 1992, he released the film “Virodhi” for his son, but it did not do well at the box office. In 2002, he directed his last film, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, with a cast that included Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Aditya Pancholi, Sharad Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Rambha, Kiran Rathod and Armaan Kohli.

Rajkumar Kohli passed away on the morning of November 24, 2023, in Mumbai. Armaan Kohli’s friend and publicist Vijay Grover said that Rajkumar Kohli went to take a bath and did not come out of the bathroom for a long time.

When Aman broke in, he found Rajkumar unconscious and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead due to cardiac arrest. His funeral will be held on the evening of November 24, 2023.
