Rama Prabha was born on Saturday, October 5, 1946 as KG Rama Prabha (age 76; as of 2023) in Kadiri, Ananthapur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her zodiac sign is Libra. Her aunt adopted her when she was one month old and they moved to Ooty. Rama was brought up by her aunt in Ooty and Madras (now Chennai).

Rama Prabha decided to adopt her niece Vijaya Chamundeswari when she was just one year old. Vijaya later married Indian actor Rajendra Prasad.

Sarath Babu
According to sources, Rama Prabha and Sarath Babu had a significant relationship that lasted for more than a decade. It is understood that they met through mutual friends and developed a deep friendship. Their friendship allegedly eventually turned romantic in 1974 and they entered into a live-in relationship that lasted approximately 14-15 years; however, despite their long-term commitment, they never tied the knot. Their relationship eventually soured, leading to their separation in 1988. After Rama Prabha and Sarath Babu parted ways, Prabha accused Sarath of cheating her and snatching away all her properties in Chennai. In an interview, Sarat Babu responded to the allegations by saying that they were baseless and that he had never looted any property from her. He said,
I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth and it was K Balachander who introduced me as a hero. Therefore, there is no need for me to extort other people’s property, because the property in my own name is enough. “

Rama Prabha made her debut in the Tamil film industry (also known as Kollywood) with the 1964 comedy film Server Sundaram, in which she played the role of a dancer who is the friend of the protagonist Radha.
In 1970, she played the role of ‘Saroja’ in the film Thirumalai Thenkumari, which was inspired by the 1969 American film If It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium. Rama has also acted in many other films such as “47 Natkal” (1981), “Kalakalappu 2” (2018) and “Vasantha Mullai” (2023).
