It’s part of the candy maker’s new Christmas range which also includes a retro selection box.

Cadbury’s confirmed earlier this year that the mint treat had been pulled from shelves and had “no plans to reintroduce it”.

It came after nostalgic customers called on Cadbury’s to bring back the retro snack.

Speaking on Xu, officially known as Twitter, one said: “@CadburyUK @DairyMilkIn When are we getting these bad boys back?

“They really miss #chocolate #dairymilk.”

But Cadbury quickly dashed their dreams by making this statement.

They said: “We understand your love for this product, but there are currently no plans to reintroduce it.

“However, we have plenty of chocolate treats to try.”

However, Cadbury’s appears to have backed away from that decision with the bar hitting stores over the festive season.

The bar features Cadbury’s classic milk chocolate and is filled with crunchy pieces of mint.

Its Winter Mint Crisp bar has already hit the shelves, with Tesco charging £4.50 for a 360g bar.

You can get it for £4 if you have a Tesco Clubcard.

It is also available in the Asda supermarket for £4.

The news delighted customers, with one saying they were “just drooling when they think about it”.

While another said they needed to stock up.

In recent weeks, customers have already spotted many of the manufacturer’s Christmas treats on supermarket shelves.

This includes its Dairy Milk Chocolate coins which arrived in Asda stores back in August.

The round chocolate treats were discontinued in 2014, but seem to have made a comeback.

It comes as Cadbury relaunches a number of classics to celebrate its 200th anniversary.

This includes the popular Top Deck bar from the 90s.

The much-loved bar, which was first launched in 1993, is back on UK shelves for a limited time.

How to save on chocolate

We all like a little chocolate now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favorite bar.

Consumer journalist Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Choose your own brand – if you’re not too concerned about taste and just want to suppress your chocolate cravings, you’ll save money by choosing supermarket own brand bars.

Shop – if you’ve spotted your favorite variety in the supermarket, be sure to check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites such as Trolley.co.uk allow you to compare product prices across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow and sometimes orange and red stickers on products to show that they are discounted.

They usually do this if the product is about to expire or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – usually, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the bigger the bar.

So if you have an appetite and were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
