R Sai Kishore started playing cricket in school where he was a part of his school team. After completing his studies, R Sai Kishore joined an engineering college but soon realized that he could not adapt to the path he was taking. He decided to drop out of school as he was playing for the domestic under-19 team during this period. Ravisrinivasan played for Tamil Nadu and they won the Vijay Hazare and Deodhar titles in the 2016-17 season. His first-class debut was in the 2017-18 season where he played in several matches of the Ranji Trophy. In the 2020 Indian Premier League, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was bought by Chennai Super Kings for a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

- In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, he picked up 22 wickets in six matches, becoming the leading wicket-taker in the series.
- Ravisrinivasan dropped out of engineering college but he still had a passion for learning new things. Apart from cricket practice and matches, R Sai Kishore is pursuing an MBA in Analytics. His interest in analytics and data pushed him in this direction. It also helped him understand the statistics of each match and thus improve his performance.
- In 2019, R Sai Kishore attended the Chennai Super Kings cricket camp and trained with the team. He bowled well to the players but MS Dhoni’s batting overwhelmed him. This made him realize that he needed to improve his skills with the ball before moving on to bigger leagues. Due to lack of franchises, he was unable to join the CSK team in 2019.
