Rebel Wilson Says She’s Gained Back 30 Lbs. After Weight Loss Due to Stress: ‘It Makes Me Feel Bad About Myself’

The actress said she “lost focus” amid her busy work schedule

Rebel Wilson is open about her weight.

On Monday, the 43-year-old actress shared a post on Instagram and revealed that she had gained 30 kilograms. in the midst of his busy work schedule.

Alongside a photo and clip of her wearing a black bathing suit and sunglasses in a hot tub on board, Wilson wrote: “Really hard work meant I’ve gained 14kg (30lbs) due to all the stress! It makes me feel bad about myself… it shouldn’t… but it does.”

She continued: “I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on the new films and my memoir, it’s just been A LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle. Anyone else going through the same thing?”

Wilson’s 11.1 million followers were quick to relate to the star, with one writing: “You’re not alone sis!❤️.” Another added, “100% 😖 yes.”

“You’re great, and you look even better. Leave no doubt,” wrote a third.

In December, Wilson took to Instagram to reflect on her busy 2023 with a carousel of pictures from a trip to Fiji with fiancée Ramona Agrum and their one-year-old daughter Royce Lillian.

“After a busy year: working 7 days a week writing the REBEL RISING book, shooting an action movie in Savannah and now directing THE DEB in Australia, I definitely needed some R&R&R time,” she wrote.

In another Instagram update, Pitch Perfect star shared a snap of herself posing in a neon orange long-sleeved swimsuit on the beach.

“Find me in Fiji,” she captioned the vacation photo, which shows her holding a coconut in front of her unzipped swimsuit.

In 2022, Wilson revealed to PEOPLE how her desire to become a mom initially spurred her weight loss.

She said that during a visit to her fertility doctor in 2019, she was told that she would have a much better chance of retrieving and freezing her eggs if she lost weight. He looked me up and down and said, ‘You’d be much better off if you were healthier,'” the Australian star recalled.

“I was taken aback. I thought, ‘Oh my God, this guy is so rude’.’ He was right. I was carrying a lot of extra weight. It was almost like I wasn’t thinking about my own needs. I was thinking about the needs of my future child which really inspired me to get healthier,” she continued.

Wilson then embarked on a “year of health” in 2020 and ended up losing more than 80 pounds. “The goal was not to reach a certain weight,” she explained. “I was just the healthiest version of myself.”

Meanwhile, during the interview with Daily mail in June, Wilson admitted she’s gained weight since becoming a mom to Royce, who was born via surrogate, for the first time.

“I gained weight after I gave birth to a child, because even though I didn’t give birth and I didn’t need to lose weight, I just gained weight due to lack of sleep and lifestyle changes,” she said. “For example, now I can’t go to the gym as often as I used to. I just don’t exercise as much, so it slows me down.”
