Reese Witherspoon gives us another great ‘fit’ on a spoon!

Last week, Legal blonde the actress, 48, conjured up a look that I’m definitely putting on a silver platter. She was seen in New York in a black mini dress (LBD always!) and draped in a long-sleeved sweater around her shoulders. To keep everything in harmony, she matched the striking pink color of her top with her pink and black shoes, which appeared to be strappy – a style worn by Meghan Markle.

She also added a chunky gold necklace, a bunch of bangles, black sunglasses and what looks like a shoulder bag.

I only wear shapewear when I bathe really I have to, which means I avoid tighter silhouettes that hug my center (I’m not going to wear a tight dress to sit at a computer all day). Luckily, Witherspoon’s dress seemed quite comfortable.

I love that this discounted LBD from Nordstrom has a fitted bodice but a breezy bottom, so it’s nice and shapely, and flatters the whole body. It’s also made of sweater material, so it shouldn’t flap around in the wind because it’s a little heavier. Speaking of which, it can also be transitioned into autumn with the right jacket and shoes.

Another way to master summer and fall fashion? Dress like an onion – or in other words, wear lots of layers that can be peeled off. For example, I get sweaty and overstimulated when I’m outside, but when I’m inside, I tend to shake. Here, a light cardigan, like this Grace Karin sweater, would make my day.

It looks warm, but still light enough to carry in the hands, in a bag (if I’m not carrying it while traveling) or slung over the shoulder. It also comes in sizes S to 3XL and has a slightly longer length, which is similar to the one recently worn by Nicole Kidman.

Witherspoon’s black dress and pink cardigan were a pretty package, but, in my eyes, her shoes were the bow on top that tied it all together. This pair, which has real bows, comes in a similar sparkling color and they’re also flat, so you can stomp around without foot pain.
