Reese Witherspoon Sizzles in Red Gown at 2024 SAG Awards: ‘It’s Giving Pookie Looks Fire’

Reese Witherspoon looks as chic as ever at the 2024 SAG Awards!

The Daisy Jones and six producer, 47, wore a red-hot dress as she stepped out for the awards. Witherspoon wore a strapless gown in structured crepe with a draped bodice and a dramatic thigh-high neckline by Elie Saab Couture. She wore her golden blonde hair down and accessorized with sparkling jewels and red heels.

While speaking with Laverne Cox during E!’s red carpet preview, Witherspoon joked about her look, saying, “It gives the Pookie fire look. It gives the lady in red.” She then joked about how overwhelming the red carpet was already and said that maybe her dress was a reference to her battery being on the red.

Witherspoon was nominated along with the others Morning show stars in an outstanding performance by an ensemble in the drama series category. Her co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Billy Crudup are also up for individual awards for best actress and actor in a drama series.

The Oscar winner turned the awards season into a family affair this year. In early January, she brought her 20-year-old son Deacon Phillippe to the Golden Globe Awards. The mother-son duo looked stylish, with Witherspoon in a form-fitting strapless black dress with a soft pink accent on the bodice. Meanwhile, Deacon opted for a classic black tuxedo.

Later that month, it was Witherspoon’s daughter Ava Philippe’s turn to join her mom on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards.

The star wore another strapless black dress, but this one featured a matching oversize bow at the waist and a thigh-high slit. As for 24-year-old Ava, she rocked the red carpet in a black Monique Lhuillier miniskirt covered in pearls.

The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live on Netflix on Saturday, February 24, at 8:00 PM ET, from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
