“I’ve been married my whole adult life and it’s really, really hard and it’s really painful … I realize that every day,” Kyle said on the second installment of the ‘RHOBH’ reunion
Kyle Richards is unapologetic about the way she split the public with Mauricio Umansky.
During the second part The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion on Wednesday, Dorit Kemsley admitted that Kyle’s secrecy about her relationship “really hurt me” as she opened up about her marital problems with her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley.
“After [last year’s] reunion, Kyle and I didn’t talk for a good few months,” she recalled to host Andy Cohen. “I was going through my stuff. But when I saw her Instagram and there were no pictures of Mo on it, I knew something was up. But being her friend and not knowing that was a bit strange.”

Kyle, 55, responded to her claims and explained how she thought Dorit, 47, would call and ask if she suspected there were problems between her and Mauricio. When Dorit accused Kyle of avoiding her, Kyle said that she had a tendency to withdraw from others during difficult life trials.
“I’ve been married my whole adult life,” he said Halloween the actress continued. “And it’s really, really hard and it’s really painful and, you know, we’ve been trying to put on a brave face for our kids at home. I wasn’t ready and I don’t want to feel like I should be in trouble for it.”
“I figure it out every day,” she added.

In July 2023, a source close to Kyle and Mauricio told PEOPLE that the couple had decided to separate after 27 years of marriage.
“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now, but they still live under the same roof,” an insider said at the time. “They have remained amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
The duo met in a nightclub in 1994. At the time, Kyle was divorced from her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, with whom she had a daughter, Farrah Brittany (née Aldjufrie). After becoming engaged later that year, the couple married in January 1996 and had three daughters: Alexia, Sophia and Portia.

When season 13 RHOBH premiered in October, Kyle admitted that this latest round of filming was “challenging to say the least” in a candid post shared on Instagram.
“Tonight! Season 13 begins. 13 years… Here we go again. Every season always brings surprising twists. This season more than ever,” she wrote at the time.
“I normally isolate myself when I’m fighting,” she admitted, “so navigating this period of my life while the cameras were rolling was challenging to say the least.”
“Ultimately, that’s what keeps me coming back year after year. That and my relationships with the people who do RHOBH. Cast and crew,” she added. “So now it’s time to sit back and watch (and relive these moments — good and bad).”
