Shannon Storms Beador is dealing with the aftermath of her arrest over the weekend.
PEOPLE confirmed that the reality star was “arrested at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 17 after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident that caused property damage,” according to the Newport Beach Police Department. NBPD also confirmed that Beador “was cited for two misdemeanors — hit and run and DUI. She was released on bond.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County star, 59, was found by police walking her dog after allegedly leaving her car in the middle of the road, according to TMZ’s first report.
PEOPLE has reached out to Beador and her attorney for comment.

On Monday, Beadora’s friend and Bravo co-star Jeff Lewis, 53, gave an update on the situation via his SiriusXM talk show: “Unfortunately [Shannon] got a DUI on Saturday night. She also had a car accident. She was injured, so she will recover.”
He continued: “Shannon and I have been friends for a very long time. I was shocked – she called me yesterday and we talked for a while – and I was shocked because I never knew Shannon ever, ever drank and drove.”
“I will tell you that she accepts full responsibility,” he remarked. “She’s ashamed, she’s embarrassed. I personally, as a friend of hers — because people say, ‘Oh, she needs rehab,’ ‘Oh, she’s an alcoholic’ — I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. I think she’s been through a lot personal problems at the moment, and I think she was leaning on alcohol – but I don’t think she’s an alcoholic.”

Lewis said: “He’s going to go to counseling this week. I’m happy about that.”
He added: “Other than Shannon, no one was hurt in the accident. I’m not condoning it, I’m not condoning it. I’m just sharing with you what I know.”

Earlier this year, Beador admitted she was “blindsided” when boyfriend John Janssen ended their three-and-a-half-year relationship at the end of 2022. “I’ve never loved anyone more in my life,” Beador said on an episode of RHOC. “I hoped this was the man I would spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work. I’ve never loved anyone the way I loved John. But obviously, he didn’t feel the same way.”
A few months later, Beador was reportedly removed from the bar after an argument with Janssen’s daughter. Initial reports claimed she was “screaming” which resulted in her dismissal from the facility.
“The lights were on [and] they were saying, ‘Everybody finish,'” Beador said of the closing meeting while speaking at the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I wasn’t kicked out, but I asked security to help me with Uber. That was it. … I was absolutely not kicked out.”
Beador confirmed to Andy Cohen that there was a “fallout” between her and Janssen’s daughter. “Unfortunately, I don’t have the positive relationship with John’s daughter that often happens in blended families,” she explained.
In the last episodes RHOCBeador was repeatedly challenged by her colleagues for being secretive about her relationship.
