In the finale of the 15th season The Real Housewives of New YorkThe 39-year-old reality star has found herself in hot water and feuding with her housemates after she accused Ubah Hassan of deliberately calling her a “w—-” after she confided in the model about a previous sexual assault.
The accusation left Hassan, 41, in tears and vomiting as she adamantly denied knowing about Whitfield’s history of sexual assault. The production eventually separated the two women and booked a room in a nearby hotel for Hassan to spend the night in.
While the model was off the premises, Whitfield told Housewives that she confided in Hassan before BravoCon 2023 after one of her loved ones attempted suicide. At the time, the two were close and in the midst of her “rant”, Whitfield allegedly mentioned her sexual assault – although she admitted she was “hysterical” and wasn’t sure if Hassan had registered her words.

While admitting that there was a possibility that Hassan didn’t “direct” the information, the Housewives told the cameras that they felt like Whitfield “used” them and deliberately lied to turn them against Hassan.
“That was shocking,” Whitfield said Rolling Stone comments from her costar. “That’s what you’re telling me in three minutes since I’ve been called horrible names [by Ubah] and apparently it bothers me that I somehow hatched a plan? It’s disgusting that I talk about two things that I hope no woman or person ever has to experience — suicide and sexual assault — and everyone says, ‘Brynn, we feel used.'”
The Bravolebrity said she doesn’t feel like she’s “showing off a lot.” [respect]” despite the “difficult, serious things we’re talking about.” She added that the situation was indicative of how she felt “attacked” all season.

“A lot of the time I’d go into the shoot and I’d feel fear and despair. I was like everything was going to turn into something. It was a weird energy from the first scene,” she explained, noting that her co-stars did a total “180” after what the cameras started doing.
“I really don’t know,” she said of their change in behavior. “I look back, I’ve gone through every text, I’ve checked every conversation and I have no idea. Then I become avoidant and just shut down.”
When it comes to where she stands with her RHONY costars, Whitfield revealed she was feeling “better” after being able to “clear the air” about a few things during the reunion. She compared the upcoming special to “working out: You don’t really want to go work out, and you might not even enjoy some parts of the workout while you’re doing it, but you know you’ll feel better afterwards. No pain, no gain.”

Whitfield said she’s “always cool” with Jenna Lyons and Racquel Chevremont, and Erin Lichy “feels like a sister.”

She continued: “I think Sai [De Silva] and I still have work to do. I miss my friendship with Sai a lot. And then with Jessel [Taank] I didn’t realize, but I should have realized, I said something that upset her, so I have to work on my friendship with Jessel.”
“With Ubah, I think it’s done, it’s done. Ubah is a great person. He has a heart of gold. I think he’s losing his temper, but he has the most beautiful heart and at the end of the day I know I’m a good person too, so I feel like we’ll be back, but it takes time to mend.”
