Ritviz was born in 1997 (2020 age 23) in Pune, Maharashtra as “Ritviz Srivastava”.

At the age of six, he started learning Khayal from his mother. Later, he learned Drupad from Uday Bhawalkar. He dropped out of school in grade 11.

Profession
At the age of 15, he decided to pursue a career in music. After dropping out of school at the age of 17, he began to pursue a career in music and released his first EP “Vizdumb” in 2014.
Later, he approached High Chai Recordings (a global bass music label based in the United States), who wanted to release his track “Mukti” through their label.
At the age of 19, he was already on the global stage when artist management company Only Much Louder (OML) invited him to join their record label. In 2017, he became the winner of the Bacardi House Party Sessions. Speaking about this, he said:
I didn’t expect this at all. When I sent the application to the Bacardi House Party staff, it was a ‘let’s see what happens’ situation. Even after winning the competition, I didn’t expect the public to respond so enthusiastically to me.”
His single “Udd Gye” was handpicked by AIB and released along with AIB’s music video ft. DJ Nucleya.
He released his first album, Dev, in 2019.
Few of his hit songs are Barso, Jeet, Liggi, Chalo Chalein, Ved and Thandi Hawa.

In 2020, he accused the makers of Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) of plagiarizing his song Udd Gaye. In a tweet, Ritzy wrote to the filmmakers:
Last month I went to the cinema to watch a movie, just a normal night out with my family. Halfway through the movie, a song came on and it hit me. The song I was listening to was very similar to the Udd Gaye song. I’m pretty sure there are others like me, if you’re wondering if I was involved in the making of this song in some way.”

- He enjoys cooking, traveling and listening to music.
- At the age of ten, he wrote his first song.
- As a teenager, he was introduced to Western music through the VH1 channel. He was deeply influenced by Western music and began to incorporate hip-hop and pop music into his classical songs.
- In 2019, he remixed a song by Major Lazor called “Light It Up.” Speaking about it, he said:
They contacted us around Diwali and I was like, “That’s awesome, man!” I mixed it in one day and I was so excited. Yeah, they loved it. I haven’t met all three of them yet, but it would be great to meet them in person.
