Aabhimanyu started his career as a radio jockey at an early age. In high school, he joined All India Radio as an intern. There, he often did voiceovers for already-recorded programs. In 2008, when he was completing his graduation, he started hosting a prime time morning show on a radio station and earned Rs. 30,000 per month. In 2012, after completing her studies, she began performing internationally in Vancouver and Ontario, Canada. In 2012, he returned to India and started hosting a romance show on 94.3 MY FM in Chandigarh. He said in interviews that he was unhappy with his job because he was not hosting a prime-time morning show. He also founded a rock band “By Chance Music Creators” (BCMC) which performed across Punjab. While he was part of a rock band, he got a job at Radio City Delhi, where he played guitar and sang love songs to audiences on the radio. He said in an interview that he was not satisfied with his job even in Delhi Radio City and that’s why he decided to start a career in television. In 2014, after joining 92.7 Big FM in Chandigarh, he finally got the opportunity to host a morning prime time show.

His television journey began in 2014 when he received an offer from the show Ki Khoj. He made it to the top 12 on the show, but he was later kicked off the show. In an interview, he discussed his elimination, saying:
Styrofoam balls will float in the air and the scene will perfectly depict the winter romance of white snowflakes. As I opened my hands to let the tiny particles fly, I felt a strange sensation in the back of my throat and within a second I was on the floor. What happened was that one of the flying particles got stuck in my windpipe and caused me to collapse. I was given CPR and there was panic. They said they would use a wild card strategy to get me back on the show. I waited 18 days for them to get back to me. they do not. They also didn’t show the episode on TV. Due to this freak accident in August 2014, I was eliminated from the show. “
