After graduating from Jamia Millia Islamia, he worked as a customer service representative at Airtel. In 2000, he won the RJ Hunt show on Radio Mirchi in a competition with approximately 30,000 participants. He has been working with Milch Radio ever since. His first show on Radio Milch was “Dr.” like. ‘Naveed went on to host shows such as Sunset Samosa and Bumper to Bumper. He is best known for ‘Mirchi Murga’, a show in which he makes prank calls. Despite some backlash, “Mirchi Murga” remains his most popular and critically acclaimed show.

- While studying in Delhi, he worked part-time in the evenings installing curtain rods at home and earned Rs. 1200 per month.
- While working as a customer service representative, he would sometimes speak in a female voice to male customers, who would often flirt with him.
- Navid hosted a show on Radio Mirchi for about 2.5 years, during which time he often commented on newly released movies. However, since he didn’t have enough money, he never saw any of them. He relied on friends who had seen the film to provide him with story details for his review.
- His hobbies include painting.
- In 2023, he appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show”, during which he made a prank call to Archana Puran Singh’s housekeeper.
