RJ Rachana aka Rachana Bharadwaj was born in 1983 in Chamrajpet, Bangalore (age 39; time of death). Later, she moved to Jayaprakash Nagar, Bangalore for work. She received her Masters in Mass Communication from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore.

She worked as a television host from eighth grade until graduation. While studying for her master’s degree, she worked as a radio host at World Space Satellite Radio. She later joined Radio Milch as a prime time host and then started working at Radio City. She has worked as a digital marketer, independent voiceover artist, and food stylist. She is widely popular for RJing’s unique style. She started with night shows but as her popularity grew, she moved to morning shows. In 2013, she played the role of RJ in the Kannada film “Simple Aag Ondu Love Story” (2013) starring Rakshit Shetty and Shwetha Srivatsav.

Later, she quit her job as an RJ.

On February 22, 2022, she complained of chest pain at her residence in Jayaprakash Nagar, Bengaluru. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. She had reportedly battled depression earlier.

RJ Pradeep (Radio Gilli 106.5 FM) uploaded a post on his Instagram account and wrote:

May your soul rest in peace RJ Rachana. She is definitely one of the best athletes in Namma Bengaluru. He suffered a heart attack at a young age. what happened. “
