Ryan Crouser can’t be beat!
The shot putter, 31, secured his third consecutive Olympic gold on Saturday, August 3 in Paris, winning the shot put final in front of a packed audience at the Stade de France.
Crouser never fell from first place in six rounds, and in the third round he threw a season-best 22.90 meters to win.
Fellow American Joe Kovacs won silver behind Crouser, with a best throw of 22.15 meters. Rajindra Campbell of Jamaica won bronze.

It was a historic finish for Crouser, as he became the first man ever to win three shot put golds.
Along with Crouser’s gold and Kovacs’ silver, Team USA won four more medals on Saturday, the third day of athletics at the Paris Games.
After setting a world record in Friday’s race, the U.S. 4×400-meter medley relay team narrowly won silver. The team — made up of Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Kaylyn Brown and Bryce Deadmon — led through legs one, two and three of the relay, with anchor Brown looking like he had struck gold in the final 100 meters. But Dutch star Femke Bol raced forward to secure victory for her country.

Still, Team USA was happy with their silver and world record from the previous day.
“Look, the world record and even the chance to win an Olympic medal is one in a million,” Deadmon told reporters after the race. “Whether it’s gold, silver or bronze, the fact that we’re here and showing it after what we should have been is incredible.”
Meanwhile, Jasmine Moore won bronze in the triple jump, just one of two events she is competing in at the Paris Games. Moore’s second jump of six was the bronze medal winner, a jump of 14.67 meters. She finished behind first-place finisher Thea Lafond of Dominica and silver medalist Shanieka Ricketts of Jamaica.

Sha’Carri Richardson won silver in the 100 meters, her first Olympic medal
Moore will next compete in the long jump, which begins with qualifying on August 6. She is the first American to compete in both disciplines at one Olympics.
“I want to go here. I want to do my best. I want a medal. That’s the goal now,” she told PEOPLE earlier this week.
The evening was rounded off by Americans Sha’Carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson, who finished second and third in the 100m final.
