Sabrina Carpenter's Designer Reveals What She’s Putting in the Star's Vintage, Victorian-Inspired Home (Exclusive)

Sabrina Carpenter is often compared to a life-size Polly Pocket, but her new home doesn’t have a single piece of plastic furniture, her interior designer tells PEOPLE.

Celebrity designer Francesca Grace reveals she’s furnishing the “Espressa” singer’s space in an ultra-feminine style, but the vibe is more vintage and Victorian than cute ’90s coquette.

“Definitely no plastic,” Grace says with a laugh while speaking to PEOPLE exclusively from her LA office. “She’s not that funky. She likes vintage and pretty pinks and florals.

“All this wallpaper behind me is for her,” he adds, pointing to a pile of massive rolls in shades of powder pink. “There’s just so much I love.”

Carpenter recently posted a sneak peek of her kitchen nook on Instagram, complete with an orange-and-white striped floral wallcovering from House of Hackney and ruffled and striped pillows from Alice Palmer & Co.

The project that Carpenter and Grace embarked on eight months ago is almost complete, says the designer. And a lot has changed since they started.

“When she hired me, she was really famous, but in the last eight months she’s probably become the number one pop star in the world,” says the interiors expert, who has also worked with Justin Bieber, Hilary Duff and Alicia Keys.

As a result, they had to adapt to the slow and steady process of working with a singer who is “on the road 24/7. She’s the busiest person I’ve ever witnessed,” says Grace. Carpenter is currently in the middle of her Short n’ Sweet World Tour and recently performed at the VMAs, where she took home the award for Song of the Year 2024.

Fortunately, Grace says, “She trusts me because [her taste] is the same [style] which I would choose myself. I showed her my house and she saw the vibe I normally have, and she said, ‘I want that.'”

The designer that got her started filming homes for luxury real estate agents and on HGTV Fix my flip, many pieces in Carpenter’s home custom made. They have a Victorian feel with plenty of florals and warm earthy tones like green and amber velvet complementing the girly notes.

One thing you’ll never find in a Carpenters home is empty space. “As a creative person, she doesn’t like the white box,” says Grace. “We’ve wallpapered every room at this point. She loves the print.”

Although Grace says Carpenter has no plans to show off her home to the public anytime soon, she was only too happy to see her work in the background of the star’s Instagram posts.

“Just because I’m designing her house makes me feel special,” she says.
