Welcome to Shiz! Ariana Grande Gives Fans a Glimpse of a Morning in Her Life on The Wicked Set

Ariana Grande takes fans on a walk through Shiz University!

On Friday, November 29, Wicked star, 31, shared what her mornings were like on the set of the hit movie in a video posted on TikTok. The short clip showed Grande’s point of view as she offered warm “good morning” and “I love you” greetings to the cast and crew.

The singer walked through Shiz University, where most of the film takes place, before entering the large outdoor courtyard. In addition to the production equipment, the set was littered with benches and luggage props. Grande walked towards the huge lake that surrounded the university before turning around to give fans another look at the movie’s beautiful set.

When Is Wicked: Part Two outside? What to expect in the second act of the film

“Morning in shiz,” she captioned the video and added a heart emoji.

Wicked: Part Onestarring Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, hits theaters on November 22. Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked it was a labor of love for the cast and crew. The film is an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name, originally based on the 1995 novel. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.

Despite the film’s stellar ratings at the box office, fans will have to wait another year to travel to the Land of Oz and see how Elphaba and Glinda’s stories end. In April 2022, director Jon M. Chu announced on Xu (formerly Twitter) that the film adaptation would be split into two parts.

On Nov. 27, the “we can’t be friend” singer documented going to the movies to see a movie with members of her family — her grandmother Marjorie and her boyfriend Ethan Slater with multiple photos and videos she shared on Instagram.

Inside a movie theater in Boca Raton, Florida, where Grande grew up, the family could be seen holding hands and smiling as they watched her standout song, “Popular.”

Marjorie, who turned 99 in October, was only 13 at the time The Wizard of Oz released in theaters in August 1939. The Grande family matriarch lived through every portrayal of Glinda on screen, culminating in her own granddaughter as the cover Wicked along with Eriv’s Elphaba.

Marjorie also recently appeared as a featured artist on Ariana’s album Eternal Sun in his closing poem “ordinary things”. This feature made Marjorie the oldest person on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March.
