Salma Hayek Wishes Stepdaughter Mathilde a Happy Birthday: ‘So Proud of the Woman You’ve Become’ 

Salma Hayek celebrates her stepdaughter Mathilde Pinault’s 23rd birthday!

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 57-year-old actress shared photos of the two on a boat and a sweet picture of the birthday girl with her father, François-Henri Pinault.

“Happy Birthday Tildie Tildie Tildie, we love you and are so proud of the woman you have become. ❤️ @mathildepinault,” Hayek captioned the post. Mathilde became Hayek’s stepdaughter after Hayek and Pinault (61) married in Paris in 2009.

The French businessman shares Mathilde and his son François with his ex Dorothée Lepère, with whom he was married from 1996 to 2004. He also shares his son Augustin with his ex Linda Evangelista. Pinault and Hayek had their first child together, daughter Valentina, in 2007.

While talking to Paris match In 2022, Mathilde acknowledged Hayek as someone who helped her in her “everyday life”.

“She has a flame that calms me down,” Mathilde told the outlet. “It helps me in my daily life. She teaches me to keep a sense of priority. I have already followed her on film shoots. I could watch how she managed her schedule, how she studied texts at night. She guides me in a very pragmatic way to face difficulty after difficulty.”

Hayek said Page six in December 2022 that she and Pinault focused on raising their children to be grounded.

“My children are modest,” she told the newspaper. “I don’t know how I did it, but I think what was great was that they have a wide range of things.”

“So at Christmas I like them to open a million presents, but some of them are very small and meaningful, some are very silly and playful, and then they get one or two really nice ones,” Hayek added.

Having a similar mindset to Pinault is something that made their marriage stronger. Hayek explained during Talk about the red table episode in June 2021 that the two “never said anything mean to each other.”
