Sandiip Sikcand dreamed of becoming an actor since childhood. He founded his own theater company, Masquerade, and began producing and directing plays. He also played supporting roles in several TV series including “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” (2000), “Kesar” (2004) and “Kkehna Hai Kuch Mujhko” (2004). In 2011, he made his Bollywood debut playing the role of transgender Nirmala Pandit in the movie “Murder 2”. According to him, this is the best role he has ever played in his acting career. In an interview, he said of his role:

In 2000, he served as the creative director of the popular Indian soap opera Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, which aired on Star Plus. Some of the other shows that Sikcand has worked in include “Amrit Manthan” (2012), “Kasamh Se” (2006), “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein” (2013). In 2017, he produced the show “Dhhai Kilo Prem”, the concept of which was based on Sikcand’s own life experiences. He said of the show in an interview:
I have always been a fat kid and this problem has been with me since my school days. The concept of Dhhai Kilo Prem stems from this fact. This concept comes from my own life. Today, we focus a lot on how a person looks rather than how a person behaves. “

Sandiip Sikcand was instrumental in introducing the controversial reality show Bigg Boss to Indian audiences. He was Sony’s showrunner when Bigg Boss Season 1 premiered in 2006. He also added an extra ‘G’ to the show’s title, which later spelled it as ‘Bigg Boss’. Sikcand has always been in touch with the show and usually shares his reviews of the show on his Twitter account.

- Sandiip Sikcand started his own clothing export business when he was 17 years old. He worked there for almost ten years, but later, he realized that he was not interested in this field and decided to try acting.
