Sania Saeed was born on Monday, August 28, 1972, in Karachi, Pakistan (50 years old as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Virgo. Her father, Mansoor Saeed, was born on November 1, 1942 in Daria Ganj, Old Delhi, into a famous intellectual and legendary Marxist family of the subcontinent (India and Pakistan). He is a political activist and has translated books, documentaries and plays into Urdu. He completed his studies in Delhi and became a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 1964. Comrade Mansoor Said served as the Secretary of the Central Ideology Section and the Secretariat of the Central Committee until his death. In 1970, he went to Pakistan to marry his cousin Abida Hashmi, the daughter of his uncle Comrade Anis Hashmi. After the Indo-Pak war in 1971, he decided to stay in Pakistan. Joined the Communist Party of Pakistan in 1974. In 1982, he formed a theater group called “Dastak”. He has translated into Urdu some well-known philosophical and literary works, including Karl Saigan’s Cosmos in 1988, Jacob Bronowski’s Humanity “The Ascent,” “The Life of Galileo” by Bertolt Brecht and Hanns Eisler, “Exceptions and Rules,” and “The Man Who Says Yes and the Man Who Says No ‘man.” In 1990, he was elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan People’s Party and subsequently represented Pakistan at various domestic and international forums. Masur Said died of cardiac arrest on May 24, 2010 at the age of 65.
Sania’s mother Abida Saeed, like her father, was a member of the Communist Party of Pakistan. In 1983, she established the Sapling Montessori School in Karachi, Pakistan.
She has a younger brother named Ahmer Saeed, who is the former captain of Pakistan’s under-19 cricket team.
