In 2014, while participating in the reality show “MTV Splitsvilla 7”, she had a relationship with her co-star Ashwini Koul. However, the relationship did not last long and the two broke up in 2015.

Sanjana wanted to try modeling and she participated in the “2012 Femina Style Diva” fashion show and was a finalist. Since she didn’t work as a model while in college. After graduating from college, she started working at an IT company and modeled outside of work. In 2013, she participated in the Miss India Pune Female competition. She made it to the finals, however, she didn’t win.

In 2013, Sanjana participated in the “Femina Official Glam” competition and won the championship. In 2014, she was selected as a contestant in season 7 of the reality TV show MTV Splitsvilla. She was paired with Ashwini Koul, with whom she also had a relationship on the show. During the show, Sanjana got injured and was forced to quit. Soon after Sanjana left, Ashwini also quit the show.

In 2016, she was hired by “Star Sports” as an anchor and sports host. She said in an interview——
Although I am comfortable in front of the camera, I still have a lot to learn to become a good sports anchor.”
She also hosted a show called ‘Match-Point’ during the Indian Premier League (IPL). She was eventually hired by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and hosted an exclusive show for KKR on a regular basis. The show is called Knights Club and she often talks about KKR and its players on the show. Sanjana often hosts one-on-one interviews with players. Shah Rukh Khan occasionally makes guest appearances on the show.

Sanjana also hosts other sporting events such as the Indian Premier League (football) and the Badminton Premier League. She regularly advocates against smoking and joined the anti-tobacco campaign in 2018. Sanjana also hosted the IPL auction for Star Sports.

In 2019, she hosted the Cricket World Cup in India and is one of the few sports presenters who regularly appears on the field alongside other experienced groundskeepers. In an interview, when she was asked about her World Cup experience, she said –
The World Cup experience was unique and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
She also hosted a show called ‘Dil Se India’ during the World Cup.
