Death of Sanjeev Jee
In 2021, Sanjeev Maheshwari’s wife Payal Maheshwari wrote to the then Chief Justice of India seeking protection for her husband as she feared that Sanjeev’s life was in danger.
However, Payal’s fears came true on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, when Sanjeev Jeeva was shot dead inside the SC/ST court in Lucknow by allegedly unknown assailants.
According to sources, two police officers during the attack; Kamlesh and Lal Mohammad, a six-year-old girl and an 18-month-old boy, were also injured.
The police managed to nab one of the attackers, who has been identified as Vijay Yadav and is currently being questioned as part of the investigation.
According to reports, Sanjeev was summoned to a court in Lucknow for the hearing of the case, when unknown assailants disguised as lawyers opened fire on Sanjeev Jeeva.
