Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Files Motion to Dismiss ‘Decades-Old’ Jane Doe Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys have filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault.

The filing comes five months after the music mogul, 54, former Bad Boy Entertainment president Harvey Pierre and another person labeled the “Third Assailant” were sued by a woman identified as Jane Doe in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

In a filing from December 2023, these people were accused of trafficking people for sex and gang-raping Doa when she was 17 years old. Combs previously denied all allegations in his ongoing sexual assault lawsuits.

According to court documents filed Friday, May 10, obtained by PEOPLE, Combs’ attorneys claim this is Doe’s “second attempt to make a completely false and vile claim against the Combs defendants.”

Referring to the plaintiff’s use of a “trigger warning” in her filing as “legally irrelevant,” the motion said it was a “stunt” “intended to prominently display a baseless and out-of-date claim, designed to cause Combs’ defendants unwanted publicity, embarrassment and financial costs.”

“Mr. Combs and his companies categorically deny Plaintiff’s decades-old story against them, which has already caused incalculable damage to Defendant Combs’ reputation and business standing, even before any evidence was presented,” the motion states.

The filing further claims that Doe is “unable to specify what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred,” calling for “dismissal of the case now, with prejudice, to protect the Combs defendants from further reputational damage and before more party favors are obtained.” and judicial resources are wasted.”

As PEOPLE previously reported, the plaintiffs’ suit alleges she was given drugs and alcohol before being “viciously gang-raped” “one after the other” after being convinced to take a private jet to Combs’ recording studio in New York.

Jane Doe’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, previously said in a statement that “the depravity of these heinous acts has, not surprisingly, scarred our client for life.” PEOPLE has reached out to Wigdor for comment about the new filing.

Several lawsuits for sexual assault have been brought against the rapper in the past few months. In November 2023, Cassie, who he dated on-again-off-again from 2007 to 2018, accused him of raping and abusing her during their decade-long relationship.

Although the lawsuit was settled a day later, Combs was accused of sexual assault shortly thereafter in another lawsuit filed by a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal. He was accused of drugging and raping her while she was a student at Syracuse University in 1991.

That same day, Combs was accused of sexual assault by a third woman, Jane Doe, who alleged that Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns raping her and a friend in New York City more than 30 years ago.

In February, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer and videographer, filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him during the time they worked together.
