See Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart Get Glam for the Venice Film Festival (Exclusive)

Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart made a glamorous entrance to the 81st Venice Film Festival.

The actresses, both part of Armani’s beauty Gen A Collective, stepped out in style at the premiere of their film on August 30 Girl wearing Armani Privé gowns and with “glow” and “dewy” makeup looks courtesy of her pros Carolina Gonzalez (for Mendes) and Francesca Brazzo (for Reinhart).

The dazzling duo was joined by fellow Collective members Chris Briney, Isabela Merced and Chase Stokes. The five arrived — by boat — for the ceremony, and as expected with this crew, it was perfect.

And that wasn’t the only photo-worthy moment. Former Riverdale costars and the rest of the Gen A Collective also attended the ultra-exclusive Armani Beauty Passione Party at Arsenale de Venezia on August 31. (The makeup brand is celebrating its seventh year of officially providing makeup services to festival guests.)

As the festival winds down, PEOPLE spoke with Mendes and Reinhart’s makeup artists to get a peek at their glamorous outing.

Mendes’ makeup artist Gonzalez says this festival is one of her favorites. “Elegance is in the air! The carpet is exquisite!”

When the professional looked at the star’s dress, she “immediately” thought of an enchanted mermaid. “The color and the way the beads shimmered was so ethereal. I wanted to play with that so I decided to keep the skin very shimmery, bronzed, rosy and glassy,” she shared.

To create the look, Gonzales applied Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation “with a full blush brush for a glossy finish.”

“Then I started applying the Luminous Silk Glow liquid bronzer with a blush brush to the spots where I would normally get burns that turn into a tan; over the forehead, the tops of the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose and the chin.”

Gonzalez then layered Cheek Tint 62 along the cheekbones and blended towards the temples.

Finally, she says, “I touched up Lip Power 102 and finished with Prisma Glass in 01 for a glassy lip finish.”

Reinhart’s makeup artist Brazzo describes the star’s look as “timeless, cinematic glamour” with a focus, she says, on “sleepy soft eyes with rosy skin and rosy cheeks to balance the depth of this stunning dark navy velvet gown.”

Brazzo took inspiration from iconic ’50s movie stars, “but with a modern and fresh feel that matches the sweetheart neckline of the dress.”

A professional applied Armani Beauty Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow in 8S and 10S.

“I put a small amount of 8S on the back of my hand and worked out a small blending brush to give me more control over the amount of color I applied,” she says. “I then applied it to the outer corners of the lid, moving outward to create an elongated winged eye shape. I then applied 10S with my fingers, tapping the product across the rest of the lid until I achieved the desired intensity.”

“The soft shimmer accentuated her blue eyes and created the main focus of this makeup look,” explains Brazzo.

The blush was also key, says Brazzo. “I used Luminous Silk Cheek Tint in 62 to create a healthy, rosy glow to complement her sultry eyes.”

To apply it, Brazzo says, “I asked Lili to smile, then I applied two dots with the applicator to the apples of her cheeks and used a small fluffy brush in a circular motion until it blended out for a soft blush. ”
