See Miley Cyrus’ Many Outfit Changes as She Reveals She Forgot Her Underwear in Final Dress

Miley Cyrus may have gotten the best Grammys ever.

The “Flowers” singer, 31, was up for six awards until last night, and despite her storied career, the singer-actress has never actually won a Grammy. Everything changed on Sunday night.

But let’s go back to the red carpet, where her glam evening began.

Cyrus hit the red carpet wearing a barely-there gold metallic mesh dress with safety pin detailing with matching metallic panties and gold heels by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela. The tailored nude Maison Margiela dress strategically covered Cyrus in all the right places, but allowed her many tattoos to peek through.

When Cyrus went inside to perform, she won her first ever Grammy Award — and wore another sexy look. She took the stage (and accepted Mariah Carey’s award for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers”) in a beaded jumpsuit and embroidered halter top by Tom Ford.

She held her gaze as she then took to the stage to perform her Grammy-winning song in yet another look. Cyrus wore a Tina Turner-esque silver mini dress while singing “Flowers” — which made her ’70s-style hairstyle even more appropriate. She even threw in Turner’s “Proud Mary” backing track.

Hairstylist Bob Recine used Nexxus products to achieve the look. “I’ve worked with Miley for a long time and tonight we wanted to create something different from last year, with a style that felt like 70s, Barbarella, while still having a modern, punk edge. By creating a big updo while leaving some of the tease visible, it allows the look to keep a fresh, sexy feel,” she tells PEOPLE.

But if you thought Cyrus would revert to one of her previous looks after that, you’d be wrong. Instead, she changed into a lace bustier and pants with fringe details and a feathered jacket. She finished her look with black strappy heels. and dangling earrings that matched the tassels on her dress.

Cyrus made one last outfit change before accepting the award for album of the year for “Flowers,” and it may have been her raciest of the night. She took the stage for the last time in a brown sequined brogue that was off one shoulder and had a slit cut all the way down the side. She even joked before leaving the stage that she had forgotten her underwear. In a dress like that, it didn’t even look like she could to wear Underwear!

Thanks to “Flowers” and Cyrus’ efforts on her eighth studio album, she was among the most nominated artists at the 2024 awards with a whopping six nominations. She received nominations for Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
