Taylor Swift pulls back the curtain on how Department for tortured poets arose.
On Monday, June 10, Taylor Nation, Swift’s official fan page, shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram shot of Swift, 34, and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine filming “Florida!!!”
The black-and-white footage shows Welch, 37, in the recording booth as Swift films herself beside herself with excitement.
“The level of talent that was in the recording studio this day π€―,” the clip was captioned. The song also features credits from Emma Stone, who PEOPLE previously confirmed helped produce.

Welch shared an equal level of excitement after Swift’s track album was released, writing in an Instagram post on April 19, “Me and my ghosts had a hell of a time π€ @taylorswift Honored to be in this department.”
The post included an animated note with the song’s lyrics and a header that read “Florence Welch Department of Hurricanes and Haunted Lace Florida.”
That same month, the musician recalled her experience recording with Swift in an interview with British Vogueexpressing that Swift came to her with “the concept and the story”.

Although she described the overall experience as a “fun time,” Welch said she didn’t realize the fanfare that would follow.
“There is a kind of greatness [Taylor Swift the phenomenon]and then there’s Taylor, who I spend time with in the studio, who is just the sweetest and most down-to-earth,” she told the news outlet.
Swift previously shared the inspiration behind the song with iHeartRadio, saying “to come up with the idea of ββwhat happens when life doesn’t go your way or the choices you’ve made catch up with you.”

The pop star said that sometimes in life “you’re surrounded by these harsh consequences and judgments, and circumstances haven’t led you to where you thought you’d be, and you just want to get away from everything you’ve ever known,” leading to the question “is there a place which ones could you go to?”
