Sadie Lopez is a Mexican-American actress, director and producer. She is known for her roles in the films Solo (1996) and Selena (1997), and the television series ER (1995), Resurrection Boulevard (2001) and Selena: The Series (2020).

Seidy Guadalupe López was born in Merida, Yucatán, Mexico. When she was four years old, she moved to the United States with her family. When she was ten years old, her parents decided to move back to Mexico so that the children could learn Spanish. Two years later, she and her siblings moved back to the United States as bilinguals. She studied acting at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) in California.

At the age of twelve, she formed a singing group called “Sensation” and began her performing career. The group participated in several talent competitions in Los Angeles and won awards. As a member of the Sensation vocal group, she performed in venues such as Dorothy Chandler Hall in Los Angeles. At the age of 14, she decided to turn her attention to vocal technique. Soon, with the help of her junior high school teacher, Mr. Gleason, she auditioned and was admitted to California State University, Los Angeles County High School of the Arts. While studying at Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, she discovered her love for acting after participating in a musical. She began to focus on acting and at the age of 17, she became a member of the educational theater group “Project Able”, which toured throughout California, including prisons and juvenile detention centers, to teach AIDS education.

She began her television career in 1991 with the role of “Conzuelo” in the TV series “Veronica Clare”.
She then appeared in the TV series ER (1995), Resurrection Boulevard (2001), NCIS: Los Angeles (2009), House (2010) and Selena: The Series (2020). She made her screen debut in the short film Tanto Tiempo (1992) as “Luz”. She has also appeared in American shorts: Butterflies (2011), Last Chance (2015) and Slide Into Darkness (2020). She made her film debut in the American crime drama My Wild Life (1993) as “Mousie”. After starring in My Wild Life, she gained recognition in the Latino community and the film also provided her with opportunities to work with other directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Joel Schumacher and Antoine Fuqua.
She has also appeared in American films: My Family (2005), Solo: A Star Wars Story (1996), Blink (1999), The Luminaries (2000), and Gabriella (2001). She made her Japanese film debut in the English-language drama The Painted Desert (1993), playing the role of “Freda”.
She made her debut in Spanish cinema with the role of “Sybille” in the film “Scent of Copal” (1997).
She made her French stage debut as “Colleague Françoise” in the film How Much Do You Love Me? (2005).

- According to Seidy, her family immigrated to the United States without a visa, and after graduating from high school, she began to face visa issues because she could not find a job. She tried to get a visa many times, but was always scammed by lawyers. She said,
I went to different lawyers and other people who said they could get me a visa for this amount or that amount. But in the end they all took my money and I still didn’t have a work permit. Nothing was moving forward until I worked with this music producer and he thought it was time for me to get my papers. He introduced me to Humberto Gray. He took over. That was about three years ago. My entire family has received professional and personal legal representation. When I went to Humberto R. Gray, a professional law firm, they started working on my case and it was amazing how quickly everything moved forward. ”
