Emily Blunt and Selena Gomez made a cheeky statement about the Golden Globes!
The actresses appeared to have a hilarious response to the recent buzz surrounding their rumored conversation at the Golden Globes as they posed at the 2023 American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles on Friday.
Blunt, 40, and Gomez, 31, were photographed at the event with their hands over their mouths in a playful reference to the buzz that followed moments after their appearance at the Globes — which had fans speculating about Blunt and husband John Krasinki’s exchange and Gomez’s alleged gossip about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner at the award, which the singer later denied, clarifying what she was talking about.
Reposting the photo to her Instagram Story, Gomez jokingly captioned the image: “We won’t talk lol.”

After Sunday’s Golden Globes, a clip from the event that showed Gomez talking to friends Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller, who were also in attendance, led fans to speculate that she was talking about new couple Chalamet, 28, and Jenner, 26, and friends told her that the reality star turned down her request for a photo with Dune actor. A source later revealed to PEOPLE that Gomez didn’t mention the new couple in her conversation with Swift and Teller.
“She made absolutely no mention of Timothée or Kylie,” an insider told PEOPLE last week, adding that Gomez “never even saw or talked to them.”

On Tuesday, Gomez clarified what she said at the Globes in a comment to E! News on Instagram. “Noooo I told Taylor about two of my friends getting involved. Not that it is [anyone’s] job”, the Just the murders in the building the star wrote.
Meanwhile, a clip CBS posted on TikTok from the Globes left some fans convinced Blunt and husband Krasinski, 44, discussed “divorce” on the red carpet at the event. The video shows the couple having a short conversation while laughing and posing for a photo together.

“Did he say I can’t wait for the divorce?” one fan speculated as commenters shared their lip-reading attempts.
While neither Blunt nor Krasinki said exactly what they said, one TikTok user, Nina Celested, who calls herself a ‘lip-reading girl’, suggested the pair said something else entirely.
She claimed that Krasinski said, “It’s cold in here, isn’t it?” Blunt, adding: »I can’t wait to get inside. It’s windy.”
