Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco definitely had that newly engaged glow at the 2025 Golden Globes!

The nominated actress and her music producer fiance stepped out for their first big event since getting engaged in December.

The couple didn’t walk the carpet together, but they showed off their looks side by side inside the Beverly Hilton, where Blanco also showered kisses on his wife-to-be’s shoulder during host Nikki Glaser’s opening monologue. The sweet moment was captured during the ceremony broadcast on CBS.

Gomez, 32, looked like a princess in a custom off-the-shoulder Prada gown designed in a romantic shade of blue. The dress was also made with an elegant column skirt, accented with subtle pleats at the waist, and a scarf that Gomez wore around her arm all night. Striking diamond necklace and thread earrings by Tiffany & Co. they added a shimmering element to the satin combination.

Hairstylist Renato Campora styled Gomez’s hair in waves inspired by icons Sophia Loren, Lauren Bacall and Marilyn Monroe. He used Joico products to achieve the old Hollywood hairstyle.

Blanco, 36, let his partner shine, wearing a white boucle textured suit and a lace mock turtleneck.

Gomez was nominated at this year’s Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Perez, as well as Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Just the murders in the building. her Emilia Perez Costa Rican Zoe Saldaña was nominated alongside her in the first category. Gomez followed her up on her Instagram Stories back in December when she learned of her double nomination.

“I don’t even know what to write. So proud of @zoesaldana and so grateful and honored @goldenglobes,” Gomez captioned a video of hearing the nominations, which she posted on her social media at the time.

Ariana Grande (Wicked), Felicity Jones (Brutalist), Margaret Qualley (Substance) and Isabella Rosselini (Conclave) were also nominated in that category.

The actress shared another post on her Instagram stories to confirm her TV nomination. She shared a picture from ISOMITB set and wrote that she is “so proud” of her TV “family”, which also includes Martin Short and Steve Martin, who are also nominated for awards.

In the TV category, Gomez is up against Kristen Bell (Nobody wants this), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary School), Ayo Edebiri (Bear), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All together) and Jean Smart (Hacks). Gomez has previously been nominated twice in this category.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco share a festive (and steamy) holiday kiss

Gomez kicked off awards season in January in an all-white suit at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards. At the Jan. 3 event, he wore a Ralph Lauren suit that featured a structured blazer, tie and pants. At one point while posing on the carpet, she removed her blazer to reveal a matching button-up vest and mesh top.

The Rare Beauty founder wore her dark hair slicked back in a tight updo and kept her jewelery minimal – showing off her sparkling engagement ring from Blanco.

On January 4, at the film festival, she switched things up and opted for a delicate pink Oscar de la Renta minidress. For the Variety Creative Impact Awards and 10 Directors to Watch brunch, she wore a long-sleeved dress with embellished pockets, paired with matching pink Santoni heels. She kept her hair down and loose for the daytime event. She chose Swarovski gems for her engagement ring.

Selena Gomez shares more glowing pictures of the ring as she basks in post-engagement bliss

Gomez and Blanco shared the news of their engagement on Instagram on December 11. She shared a carousel of photos that included a close-up of her engagement ring, a marquise diamond. “forever starts now..”, she captioned the post.

Blanco was happy to comment on her post, writing: “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”

Blanco and Gomez started dating in June 2023, but went public with their relationship in December. The following month, they made their first awards show appearance as a couple at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
