Selena Gomez Reveals What Makes Her Feel the 'Most Beautiful': It 'Makes Me Feel Pretty’ (Exclusive)

Selena Gomez reflects on when she feels “most beautiful.”

While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at her Rare Impact Fund Benefit held at nya Studios West in Los Angeles on Thursday, Oct. 24, the 32-year-old singer said she feels most beautiful when she’s with her loved ones at the start of the day.

“I feel the most beautiful when I wake up. Because I wake up next to my sister [Gracie] or I’ll wake up with my grandparents,” she tells PEOPLE. “Anything that makes me feel beautiful.”

Gomez dressed to impress for her appearance at the annual fundraiser, looking stunning in a black Oscar de la Renta one-shoulder cocktail dress with a ruffled midriff and asymmetrical skirt.

She teamed the glamorous style with a pair of pointed black heels, a billowing bottom, smoky eye make-up and bare lips.

While speaking at the event — which is being held to “raise awareness and funds to support youth mental health globally,” according to the website — Gomez said her “ultimate dream has always been to help people.”

Having obliged to thank those present, Emilia Perez star admitted she was “honored” to be there. “I’m a little overwhelmed, but I’m excited,” she told the crowd.

“We all deserve support if and when we need it, no matter who we are. I believe that a relationship is important and I’m here to be a voice for those who may not have one or for those who don’t feel like getting one,” she said.

“I am here to reflect the young people who reach out to me every day and trust me with their truth. Their love and loyalty have completely helped me through my darkest moments and for that I will always be in their debt, and I want to do everything I can,” he said Just the murders in the building star added.

Selena Gomez vamps in sophisticated head-to-toe black on Emilia Perez Premiere in LA

Gomez, who has been open about her mental health journey over the years, said: “Every day I say I’m a work in progress. Every day I try to do my best, I try to do what I think is right for me, and that’s all I can ask all of you.”

“So I want to thank you so much again for helping one of my wildest dreams come true,” she said.

Gomez launched the Rare Impact Fund as the philanthropic arm of her mega-brand Rare Beauty, with 1 percent of all Rare Beauty sales being donated to a mental health organization.

Earlier this month, Gomez teamed up with Sephora for the Make a Rare Impact campaign in honor of World Mental Health Day on October 10.

For the second year in a row, the company donated 100 percent of all Rare Beauty products sold that day (in stores, online and at Sephora at Kohl’s) to Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund.
