Serena Williams takes a (fashion) trip down memory lane!
On Monday, September 2, the tennis star, 42, shared photos from the launch of one of her latest products from the Wyn Beauty line, as she recreated a look from her past.
In the Instagram carousel, the professional athlete wore a denim set – which consisted of a cropped short-sleeved jacket with a white shirt underneath and a pleated mini skirt.
βThis skirt looks familiar – oh, that’s me in the background. Yes, that was my inspiration for this look to launch @wyn new lip gloss and lip liner with @ultabeauty #USOpen,β Williams captioned the post.

In April, Serena spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the inspiration behind Wyn Beauty.
“I’ve always been into beauty,” she said during the interview. βBut when you’re a tennis player, you can only do so much because you’re on the court for hours. You move a lot and sweat and wipe everything.”
She added that throughout her “entire career” she’s always tried to figure out, “What are the key products you need to look presentable?”
Serena found her solution in Wyn Beauty, which started with 10 products created for an active lifestyle.
She added that her career also played a role in branding.
βI thought the green tennis ball packaging, which we call our Wyn chartreuse, made sense and was authentic to my story. [The color] it represents a lot of energy to me when you hold it in your hands. It means a lot to me because I will always love tennis,β Serena told PEOPLE exclusively.
