Before we left for LA to start shooting, I had a FaceTime conversation with Shailene and I asked her what it was going to look like. She assured me it would be fun, ‘like playing’ and wow, she was right. She, together with our excellent director Monsieur Jean-Marc, set the tone for me and I am sure that the joy we had on Big little lies is the reason why I stayed in acting. So it was a thrill to see Shailene on stage in this remarkable New York stage debut.”

“The play is about a family gathering at Christmas with all their tensions, traumas, love, history and talent on full display and I loved it,” he continued. “I hope Shailene keeps coming back to the theater because it makes me happy to see her up there and I hope she knows how proud I am to be her fake son!”
