Shakira (47) announced the release of her 12th studio album on Thursday, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women Don’t Cry Anymore)March 22. This will be her first album release in seven years.

According to a press release, the album is a testament to Shakira’s “resilience and strength and the power of music to transform even the most difficult experiences into precious moments.”

In September, Shakira was honored at the MTV Video Music Awards with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award, which recognizes the artist’s life’s work.
