Shaktikanta Das has over thirty years of experience as an IAS officer. Shaktikanta Das first served as assistant tax collector in 1982 after passing the civil services examination. Thereafter, he continued to serve the Government of India in various capacities, including Secretary, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (2013-14), Secretary, Revenue Division, Ministry of Finance (2014-15), Secretary, Economic Division, Ministry of Finance (2015-2017).
