Shannon Beador Kicks Off Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 Filming Following DUI and Treatment

Shannon Storms Beador is back in action The Real Housewives of Orange County almost four months after her arrest for alleged DUI and hit and run.

On Wednesday, the 59-year-old reality star shared a photo of herself with her three daughters Stella, Adeline and Sophie along with cast members from the hit Bravo series.

In the video, Beador is dressed in a black sweater and matching pants. She captioned the photo with two emojis, “🎬❤️.”

A source told PEOPLE that he is filming season 18 RHOC officially starts next week, but cameras have rolled out to capture Beador and her three daughters before they head back to school.

PEOPLE previously reported that last year’s cast regulars — Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter and Jennifer Pedranti — have been called back for another season. Friend Taylor Armstrong announced in November that she would not be returning to the series.

Bravo is known not to comment on actors, but the producers have also made an offer RHOC alum Alexis Bellino is returning as friends, a source tells PEOPLE. It will be her return to the series after a 10-year absence, after she left in 2013 after season 8.

Alexis’ RHOC the return will be especially difficult for Beador, as former owner Alexis Couture has now found love with Beadora’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen. Jim Bellino, Alexis’ ex-husband, also previously sued Beador in a well-publicized defamation lawsuit in 2018 (Beador won the case in October 2020, but still lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the defense process).

This makes the romance between Alexis and her ex all the more painful. “John is very familiar with the litigation that I was involved in with Jim Bellino, and Alexis was involved in that litigation,” Beador said. Hey! News back in December. “For years I was financially and emotionally destroyed. And I won. But it destroyed me financially. And I’m a single mother. John is aware of that.”

“I’ve been really hurt the last few weeks because, No. 1, John said he doesn’t want to be in the public eye, and at this point he’s gotten more out of the public eye,” she added. “So I’m pretty confused about that.”

On top of that and the consequences of her DUI, Beador will have to come face to face RHOC with Judge, with whom he no longer speaks.

The former best friends had a falling out over Thanksgiving that has yet to be resolved. Many speculate that it has to do with the fact that Judge reconciled with Alexis, even though he is the owner of Vena CBD she noted on social media earlier this month that she and Alexis had reconciled at BravoCon in November 2023 — weeks before Alexis even met Jansen.

The judge and former actress Vicki Gunvalson also had a public spat. Along with Judge, the three started the stage around their “Tres Amigas” persona, but Judge backed out, explaining on her hit podcast Two T’s and a pod this week that she thought the show didn’t fit her schedule. Gunvalson and Beador then planned their own stage performance, while Judge and Teddi Mellencamp announced they would be performing their iHeart Radio podcast live.

But dropping the Tres Amigas show caused frustration for Gunvalson, Judge said. She recalled receiving a series of nasty text messages from Gunvalson attacking the signs before Gunvalson began taking digs at Judge in the press as well. Judge then retaliated and the two began trading blows online, with Gunvalson calling Judge a “traitor” and Judge claiming she felt “so refreshed and so relieved” to cut Gunvalson out of her life.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Judge said further Two T’s. “2204, I don’t want toxic friendships. I don’t want people talking behind my back. I just don’t.”

“The show is a whole different animal, but outside of the show — me, Shannon and Vicki — there was a lot of s—- talk about me,” she added. “I talked to them and I said, ‘If I find out one more time that you talked to— behind my back, then I’m done. And it turns out something was said. And I’m done.’

Alexis Bellino targets Vicki Gunvalson as RHOC OG slams former costar for romance with John Janssen

Gunvalson has no intention of returning at this time RHOC next season, but it seems like there will be plenty of drama even without her.

Just this week, Andy Cohen told PEOPLE that he RHOC actors are preparing the most surprises this year. “I mean, I think with all this going on off camera Orange County right now, I think you’re looking at what’s going to be a really dramatic season,” he said.
