She does everything for us’: British dog surprises owners by joining their first wedding dance in heartwarming video

The bride and groom’s wedding day becomes so much sweeter when their beloved dog decides to join them for the first dance.

After watching the newlyweds say ‘I do’ at their wedding in Arlington, Washington, Nicole and Seth Funden’s Labrador retriever, Eva couldn’t resist taking part in their first dance as husband and wife.

Video of the special moment shows the pair swaying back and forth to Dan and Shay’s song From the Ground Up as Eva decides to join her owners on the dance floor spontaneously.

Nicole and Seth can be seen crouching down to cuddle the dog before it gets up on its hind legs and begins to dance with them.

They each held one of her feet as they slowly circled the dance floor together as the guests cheered them on.

Eva ends on four legs and her hosts give a sweet embrace at the end of the song.

Nicole told Storyful that the first touching dance was a pleasant surprise, explaining that it ‘had not been rehearsed before’.

‘There’s no way he’d miss our wedding,’ she said of their dog. ‘She’s our fluffy baby and does everything with us.’

The couple’s wedding photographer Heather Mayer captured the dog lying next to the altar during their ceremony.

Many of their guests were moved by Eva’s participation in their big day, including their friend Selena Mercedes.

She told The Dodo that the couple consider Eva part of their family and weren’t surprised when she came to their wedding.

“Both of them spend a lot of time with Eva,” she explained. ‘They took her wherever they went.’
