Arrested on suspicion of drug abuse
On the evening of June 12, 2022, Siddhant Kapoor was arrested for allegedly consuming drugs at a rave party after the Bengaluru police raided the Park Hotel on MG Road in Bengaluru.

The raid, conducted by 25 police officers, arrested six people, including Siddhanth Kapoor. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Bheemashankar S Guled confirmed the news in an interview and said:
It has been confirmed that Siddhant Kapoor, son of Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor, is a drug addict. His blood test report tested positive for drugs. Accordingly, he has been taken to Ursul police station. ”
Furthermore, he said,
Siddhant Kapoor claimed that his drink was laced with drugs without his knowledge. He told the police that he had traveled to Bengaluru many times to attend parties as a DJ. This was his fourth trip to the hotel where he was arrested. We have obtained the guest list and suspicious persons will be summoned for questioning. “
Siddhanth was charged under Sections 20A, 22B and 27B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
On June 14, 2022, he was released on station bail. In an interview, when asked about her son’s arrest, Shakti Kapoor said:
I got the news from India Today. I have no idea. I don’t know anything about it. When I got up at 9 a.m., news came that he had been detained. I have no idea. The whole family is trying to get in touch. No one answered the phone. I don’t know what happened. ”
