Simu Liu, Octavia Spencer and More A-List Hosts Take Viewers Around the Globe on My Happy Place (Exclusive)

My happy place brings viewers to travel all over the world with your favorite stars!

The new original CNN series, which premieres on Sunday, April 27, explores the deep connection between six A-Lister and their most beloved travel destinations that helped them enter the other side of themselves.

In the exclusive first, see the trailer (up) for the six episodes produced by Boardwalk Pictures, viewers will be transported to various stunning places with Alan Cumming, Taraji P. Henson, Questlove, Billy Porter, Octavia Spencer and Simu Liu.

From Austin to Indonesia, the series will not only show the beauty of every place, but will also discover why these places have become a personal oasis of every famous host.

“My happy place. One place where I could really be me,” divides Porter in the trailer of my favorite destination: Mykonos. In his episode, Pose Star reveals that he first came across the Greek island while working on a cruise and why all these years remained one of his favorite places.

Meanwhile, Cumming moves on a trip through the Scottish highlands. ANDTraitors The host, who grew up in Scotland and often fled to the mountain region, shares that the area still brings him a “deep sense of calm” now as an adult.

Going to New Orleans, Spencer shares that she first traveled to the city as a student ready to celebrate Mardi Gras. Since then, he continues to return to the city of the crescent because “she feels like an extension of my personality,” she says in the recording.

For Liu, Bangkok has recently become one of his happy places after traveling there two years ago. During his episode, viewers will visit the city while the actor revises both new and old places.

“There’s something about Thailand that seemed very kind to me,” Barbi Star explains in the trailer.

“Whenever my schedule cleanses, I go straight to my happy place: Austin, Texas,” says a musician who won Grammy in the trailer. “There is a level of joy I get from people who actually value music.”
