Sippy Sidhu was shot dead on September 20, 2015, at a park in Sector 27, Chandigarh. His rumored girlfriend Kalyani Singh has been accused in the murder. Investigations reportedly revealed that Kalyani Singh was accompanied by an unidentified assailant when Sippi was killed. On September 21, 2015, a local resident saw his body in the park and called the police. Kalyani Singh was arrested on June 15, 2022 for her involvement in the murder of Sippy Sidhu. He was cremated at Sector 25 West Crematorium, Chandigarh. During the police investigation, Sippy’s mother accused a girl named Kalyani Singh of murdering her son. Sippy’s mother mentioned that the police were hesitant to question Kalyani because she was the daughter of Himachal Pradesh’s acting chief justice Sabina Singh and even abused their power to protect her daughter from murder. . Sippy Sidhu’s mother said in an interview,
I can’t forget him for a second and I will fight for justice as long as I live. On the day of his murder, Sippi told me that Kalyani wanted to see him. We have been saying since the murder that she was involved in killing my son because we rejected her marriage proposal. She killed him”
Sippy’s brother Jasman Preet accused Kalyani Singh and his family of creating false evidence. He said in an interview,
We will urge the impeachment of Sabina to get justice because her daughter is the main suspect in the murder so how can she be expected to get justice. We will meet with the federal law minister to seek action against her for protecting her daughter and creating false evidence. Kalyani’s family supports her alibi that she was at a birthday party when the murder occurred, despite evidence that she was in the park at the time. “

She wanted to marry him, but her proposal was rejected by Sipi’s family. Sippy leaked her objectionable photos to her parents and friends, embarrassing Kalyani and her family.
