Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Shares the ‘Final Clinch’ When She Knew David Woolley Was The One (Exclusive)

In the early stages of Christine Brown’s relationship with her now-husband David Woolley, one family member’s opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

indeed — Sister wives star’s youngest child with ex Kody Brown — was “a little concerned” before she and her mom moved in with Woolley, Christine tells PEOPLE. But that anxiety soon disappeared as the 13-year-old and Woolley, 59, “get on brilliantly”.

“He’s a fantastic match with Truely,” shares the mother of six, 51. “And I think that was the final clincher for me. One time he came over and started talking to True, and he just sat down with her and got her. He understood her.”

Christine also confirms that Truely “loves [David] a lots of. Yes, he wants to. She really likes him.”

Seeing Woolley “getting along” like that truly solidified Christine’s love for him – and made her sure of her decision to marry him.

And that’s just one of the many great qualities of a businessman, she notes of Woolley, who “has more integrity than anyone I know.” She explains, “He built his business while being a single dad, so that’s everything to him.”

“He is a phenomenal person, to the core. He’s just amazing,” she said. “Yeah, I just feel like I’ve hit a gold mine — a major. I won the lottery with him.”

The pair struck up a relationship earlier this year, which Christine shared on Instagram on Valentine’s Day, calling him her “soul mate”.

“I finally found the love of my life, David,” she wrote in the description. “The first time he hugged me, it seemed as if my soul took its first breath. He is lovely and kind, amazing with my kids and a wonderful grandfather. I never dreamed I could find love like this.”

Her second attempt at love came more than a year after she announced her separation from Kody, 54, with whom she had been spiritually married for 25 years. They also have daughters Aspyn (28), Mykelti (27), Gwyendlyn (21) and Ysabel (20), as well as a son Paedon (25).

Kody has since divorced his two wives, Janelle Brown, 54, and Meri Brown, 52. He is now married only to Robyn Brown (44).

Christine tells PEOPLE that her relationship with Woolley is decidedly less complicated than her previous relationship — and she loves it.

“It’s really simple,” she says. “It’s a simple, simple life. And I didn’t know I could have a simple life with someone.”

She adds: “I didn’t know that I would find my soul mate.” I totally found my soulmate. He is completely my soul mate, and I didn’t even know it.”
