Sister Wives: Christine Set a Wedding Date with David Before Getting Engaged but Her Kids Feel It's 'Really Fast'

Christine Brown and David Woolley are ready to take their love to the next level – but her children are a little taken aback by the speed at which the couple are moving.

During Sunday’s November 3rd episode Sister wivesChristine and David gathered for an intimate dinner at home with all of her children.

“Some of my kids are great with David. Some of my kids are, like, a little distant,” she told the cameras, noting that this is her son Paedon’s first time meeting him. Her daughter Gwendlyn is the only child who did not meet David at the time of filming.

After informing her children that David was on his way, Christine warned her offspring, “Please be kind this time.”

Initiating the awkwardness, Paedon deliberately greeted David by calling him “Richard” instead of his real name. From there, Christine’s daughter Aspyn asked David if he liked any of the wedding venues the couple had visited, as seen in a previous episode of the series.

David then revealed that the couple now have a wedding date and venue set. However, as Christine noted in the solo confessional, “we’re not engaged yet.”

The speed at which Christine and David were moving had some of her children worried, with Aspyn remarking in the confessional, “I’m surprised how fast things are moving.”

“My mom had just gotten out of a 25-year relationship, and then she started talking about getting married,” she continued. “It seems really, really, really fast.”

Although the two moved at lightning speed, Christine revealed that David had already “asked my dad’s blessing” to marry her – and he got it.

“He got on well with my dad … It was a great conversation,” Christine told her children. “And then, David says, ‘So, you know, I’d like to ask for your blessing.’ And my dad just reached out and said, “Yeah.” And then my dad made him a plate of food and brought him a plate of food.”

To David’s credit, Christine’s daughter Mykelti said her new mum’s beau was able to pick up on the “fast-paced” nature of their family from “day one”. Still, some of the kids were a little uncomfortable with the couple’s PDA.

“I’m not really used to seeing my mom being tender to anybody and I haven’t seen that in a while, I think. So I remember mom dancing with dad in the kitchen in Vegas, but that’s [somebody] new. So that’s what’s different for me,” Aspyn said on camera as one of Christine’s other daughters, Ysabel, said in a separate confessional, “I’m completely unaware of her kissing anyone else. And when she does, I’m very surprised.”

However, Christine noted that she was just “testing” her kids, adding, “They have to get used to it. That’s what’s going to happen to make it comfortable in front of my kids.”

Later in the episode, Christine and David went ring shopping together. The couple eventually tied the knot in Utah in October 2023, nearly two years after she announced her separation from longtime husband Kody Brown in October 2021.
