Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Has ‘Hope’ She’ll Find Love Again with Someone Who ‘Accepts’ and ‘Cherishes’ Her

Meri Brown doesn’t give up on love.

During the last Sunday meal of Sister wives: one on oneThe 52-year-old opened up about the possibility of finding love again after Christine Brown — who, like Meri, ended her marriage to Kody Brown — managed to find her “soulmate” in second husband David Woolley.

“I hope to find someone to share my life with, yes,” the reality star told host Sukanya Krishnan.

Later in the episode, when asked if she hopes to remarry, Meri says, “Yes, I do! I hope so.”

“I hope to find someone who loves and accepts me for who I am,” she continued. “And he cherishes me and knows my heart and likes it.”

Meri noted that she hopes her future partner is “tall” but that she “would be fine” with someone who is 6 feet tall. She also revealed that her celebrity crush has “always been” Matthew McConaughey.

Meri married Kody, 54, in 1990 and welcomed their child, Leon Brown, in 1995. The longtime couple eventually expanded their family by entering a polygamous marriage with Janelle Brown in 1993, Christine in 1994, and Robyn Brown in 2010.

By 2014, Meri decided to legally divorce Kody so that he could adopt Robyn’s children from her previous marriage. The couple eventually experienced several marital upheavals, including a catfishing scandal in which Meri fell in love with a woman posing as a male fan.

Meri and Kody confirmed their split in January after more than three decades of marriage. Months after announcing their split, Meri opened up to PEOPLE about the challenges of managing a polygamous marriage.

“Anytime you expand your family, there’s going to be a shift,” she said in August. “You just have the logistical stuff, but you also have the emotional stuff.”

The businesswoman added: “I’m human. I’m going to get jealous. He’s human. He won’t know how to deal with female jealousy.”
