In January 2016, the game became available for early access. This game had an official release for Windows, Linux and Xbox One. August 11, 2021 marked the release of versions for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. On June 18, 2019, a DLC called the Mysterious Style Pack went on sale. Slime Rancher was first created in Popovich’s apartment. Popovich used other people’s codes to prototype the game because he was an artist and designer, not a programmer. He ended up asking Mike Thomas, the technical director, for programming help. To minimize the problem, Popovich had Monomi Park employees work on the game for eight hours each day. Originally scheduled to gain early access after a year, the game was delayed by six months.
How to play
There are various types of slimes in the game, and they all have unique characteristics, ranging from as small as flat ears, wings, and tails to the ability to teleport or grab chickens using vines that grow out of the ground. Slime can be toxic, uncultivable, tender, or wild, among other classifications. Besides, most slimes have their Gordo version. Being much larger than regular or Largo slimes, these Gordos are immobile. They can be found throughout the Far Far Range. In order for the Gordo slime to take its normal form, players can shoot at the food until it explodes.
