Snoop Dogg Saves Gail Bliss, 61, Using His Replay Button on The Voice Because He Felt the 'Spirit of His Mother'

Snoop Dogg felt the presence of his late mother Vote.

On the Monday, Sept. 30, episode of the singing competition series, Snoop used his one-button Coach Replay on 61-year-old Gail Bliss — and said his late mom encouraged him to do it.

After Bliss’ audition, where no one turned around, Snoop said that “my mother’s spirit is in me right now.”

“My mother’s sister’s name was Gail, and that was one of my favorite aunts. You couldn’t see me, but I had an arm like this all the way,” Snoop, 52, said as he hovered his hand over the button.

“But they added a piece of the puzzle this year called Coach’s Replay … so if I hit this button now, you’d be on my team,” he said.

Then Snoop hit the red button and made Bliss — who is the oldest person in the competition so far — shed tears and start jumping up and down.

Snoop gave her a big hug and said “my mother’s spirit is all in you now.”

“I wanted to push, but I didn’t because I was waiting for Reba [McEntire]. I knew I was going to lose if Reba pushed,” he said. “She has stage presence and looks like she was a goddamn superstar.”

“I love that song that Kendall sang. And after the song ended, I felt kind of numb. I knew in my heart that I wanted him on my team. I’m so glad, for the first time we have a coach. It’s a second chance for coaches when we realized we missed this moment,” McEntire said.
